It’s likely to take between 3.5 to 4 hours
Ben Lomond is approximately an hour’s drive from Glasgow.
Ben Lomond is Scotland’s most southerly Munro
From its vantage point, it offers incredible views of Loch Lomond looking south towards Glasgow, west towards the Arrochar Alps and North and East towards the Highlands

Meeting Point - Where and When:
Meeting at the Rowardennan Car Park (see Map Below) at 09:00 - There’s a Pay and Display Car park, so remember to bring £3-£4 for parking (there is a card machine but it isn’t always functional)
Click the button below for more information about Ben Lomond and the route that we plan to take which will be up the main tourist path and down via the Ptarmigan Ridge.
What to Bring:
Check this useful resource site (Walk Highlands) to ensure you’re well prepared on the day - as always weather can change and we ask that everyone is responsible for themselves.
In good weather Trail shoes are absolutely fine. We won’t be doing the hill unless the weather is looking fine.
Plan B - Trail Run
If we’re not going up the mountain, we’ll tackle one of the most remote sections of the West Highland Way from Rowardennan along the Loch Side.
The intermediate group will run c. 7 miles out and back (c.15 total) to Inversnaid Hotel
The beginner group will run 3.5 miles out and back along the West Highland Way.
