How long have you been practicing?: I qualified in January 2015 with a Masters of Physiotherapy. Before training in Physiotherapy, I was an exercise teacher and massage therapist for over 10 years.
Please explain the service you provide in your own words: I am a Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Certified Instructor and i also enjoy integrating Clinical Yoga into my practice where appropriate.
What's the best thing about doing what you do?: I get to do what I love and it makes me feel good- if you do Pilates or Yoga - you’ll know what I mean! It’s very rewarding to get people back in touch with their bodies and remind them how they should move. A major up-side is that it can help us out of the cycle of pain and injury, which is an all too common result of modern lifestyles.
What excites you about working at Physio Effect?: I get to work alongside such experienced and dynamic clinicians, in a well-equipped studio. I’m also excited about the clientele - many being from CrossFit Glasgow where I’ve trained since arriving back in Scotland! I’m also excited to be part of the team as the business is expanding in new and interesting directions.
What are your dreams for your service within the company in the next year or so?: I’d like to integrate yoga and physiotherapy to develop a holistic approach to rehabilitation. I’d also like to develop my knowledge, manual therapy skills and experience with working with a wide range of clients.
