Services Provided: Swedish and Sports & Remedial massage
How long have you been practising?: Since 2014
Please explain the service you provide in your own words: My skills lie in deep tissue/soft tissue work including myofascial release, trigger point release, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilisation and PNF stretching. By using a combination of these techniques a treatment can be altered and adapted to suit the individual's needs whether that goal is to reduce pain, increase range of movement or just simply relax.
What's the best thing about doing what you do?: The benefits of massage can never be underestimated, it was my own appreciation of good massage that encouraged me to start my training in the first place. I enjoy helping people understand how their muscles work and how massage can complement their training programme by increasing recovery time and reducing the likelihood of injury by keeping muscles in tip top condition. I find muscles fascinating!
What excites you about working at Physio Effect?: For me it is an excellent opportunity to continue on my learning journey working with young enthusiastic people like Jonny, Danny and Mariam who have such a wide and varied working background. This is a great time to join Physio Effect as they have just recently expanded into new premises and provide a fantastic range of services and treatments. Having felt the benefit of the treatments they provide first hand, I knew that my skills would fit in with their ethos of 'pain to performance' and I'm delighted to become part of their dynamic and friendly team.
